Cipher EA: What Is Planned and What to Check Before Setup

Before you use a trading robot, you should be able to answer a few ordinary questions: where does it run, what does it do, and what happens when something goes wrong?
Product status: Cipher EA is in development. The final trading strategy, settings, supported builds and differences between plans have not been finalized. This article explains the intended workflow and the checks to make when a release is available. It is not a release announcement or a record of trading results.
What an Expert Advisor does
An Expert Advisor is software used inside a compatible MetaTrader terminal. Its capabilities depend on its code and permissions; an EA can analyze conditions and may place or manage orders when its implementation allows that.
The website account and the trading terminal have different roles. The planned Forex Cipher dashboard handles access and delivery information. Trading would take place through the supplied EA in your own terminal and brokerage account.
The intended delivery workflow
- Check the released specifications and supported platform.
- Confirm the selected plan and activation instructions.
- Open Dashboard → My Products for an issued file and license information.
- Follow the setup guide supplied with that specific build.
- Test the setup on a demo account before considering live use.
Those steps describe the planned delivery flow. They do not mean that every file, activation check or platform version is available today. Ask support to confirm the current release status before purchasing access for a particular requirement.
MT4 and MT5 are separate compatibility checks
An MT4 build and an MT5 build are different files. Do not assume that one download runs on both platforms, or that a plan includes both. Confirm the exact terminal version, supported instruments, account conditions and installation instructions when the product is released.
You should also confirm whether the intended workflow requires a running desktop terminal or a VPS. Opening the website dashboard alone should not be treated as proof that the EA is operating.
What still needs to be confirmed
- The entry and exit rules.
- The available position-sizing and risk controls.
- The supported platforms, instruments and account types.
- The final differences between Standard and Standard Pro.
- The activation, expiry and renewal behavior of the delivered build.
We will add actual settings screens and release details when the software is ready. A brand logo or a concept illustration is not a screenshot of a working trading interface.
What a useful demo test should tell you
Confirm that the file loads, the required permissions are understood and the software behaves as described. Keep the version and inputs with your test notes. Observe the handling of orders, errors and restarts rather than judging the setup from one favorable trade.
If test results are published later, they need their dates, assumptions and costs. Historical or simulated results should be clearly distinguished from live account results. Automation itself does not establish that the rules have an edge.
For the current product status, see Cipher EA and the setup documentation. MetaQuotes provides general background in its official algorithmic-trading documentation.
Risk note: This is product information and an educational checklist, not personal investment advice. Automated trading can cause losses. There is no guaranteed return, and the final software specifications must be checked before use.
